Alan Hurwitz, outgoing president of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, is photographed in the school's $4.5 million CSD Student Development Center, which he helped open in 2005 on December 11, 2009. Hurwitz will be taking over as president of Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. next month.
